**As with all of my birds, they are not show quality. Due to that, all of my Opals have a soft barring on their backs and necks as show in a couple of the images. I do not have any of the “clean” backs. I added a “clean” picture because my birds are the soft lavender color, but I wasnt able to capture that myself in images.
If you’re already a fan of the Cream Legbar’s awesome personality and stunning blue eggs, get ready to fall in love with their chic new cousin, the Opal Legbar. Just like the Cream Legbar, Opal Legbars are known for being super friendly and sweet. They’ll happily follow you around the yard, making them a joy to have in any flock. And, of course, they lay the same beautiful blue eggs.
But here’s the fun twist: instead of a creamy, coppery look, the Opal Legbar rocks a gorgeous, soft lavender color that’s truly a showstopper. Pictures don’t do this fluffy, pastel bird justice. I just could not capture the lavender color as beautiful as it is in real life. If you’re looking for a lovely, chatty chicken that lays colorful eggs and looks like a dream, the Opal Legbar is the perfect choice for your coop.
