How to Get Your Flock
I offer two simple ways for you to get the birds you are looking for: stopping by the Yard Sale for birds available today, or placing a Preorder for a future pickup date.
1. The Yard Sale (Available Today - No Appointment Needed!)
If you are looking for birds that are ready for pickup right now, the Yard Sale is for you. You can come by without an appointment and browse what I have available that day.
- Older Birds: I often have older pullets or hens looking for new roosts.
- Chicks: I usually have freshly hatched chicks available for same-day pickup on weekends.
- Other Items: You can also find supplies, bug snacks, and more.
2. Preorders (Schedule a Future Pickup)
If you want specific breeds or ages, you can preorder chicks or 2-3 month old pullets for a future date that works for your schedule.
- How it works: Order the breeds listed on my website. During checkout, you will choose a desired month for pickup. After I review your order, I will respond with a confirmed pickup date (Saturdays or Sundays for chicks; a week-range for older pullets).
- Deposits: Orders can be submitted without a deposit, but birds will not be held until a deposit is made. For Venmo, the deposit is 50% (maximum of $100). For PayPal or Credit Cards, the site will charge 50% plus a small non-refundable payment processing fee.
- Freshly Hatched Chicks: Preorders are often available as soon as the following week but can be scheduled for a future date too.
- 2-3 Month Old Pullets: At this age, they are fully feathered and can handle cooler weather. You can preorder all your desired breeds to pick up at once.
2026 Hatching Plan
This plan worked well last year, so I am going to try it again in 2026. These are the breeds I expect to hatch every week. Most other breeds on my site should be available once or twice a month.
