Often I am asked what breeds I would pick for a first time flock for a family with kids and some pets. They like colorful eggs and want friendly breeds but don’t know which to pick. This “Perfect First Flock” is the answer. Each flock order includes family breeds like a Barred Rock, Cream Legbar, Copper Maran, Olive Egger and an Orpington.
Please note that although certain breeds are known for being super friendly, some girls just don’t want to be friends. (Much less than people though.)
